Here's how you can help put Usborne Books into the
hands of children in your community!
Reading is the key that unlocks the mind! In a world where only one out
of every ten adults walks into a bookstore, we need to help our children
learn to love books. Here are some programs that will help put fun, educational
books into the right hands, the hands of our children and the teachers who teach
them. The Reach For The Stars and Adopt-a-book programs stock bookshelves in
libraries and classrooms in our community and across the country.
- Reach for the Stars: A pledge-based reading incentive program which
returns every cent pledged back to the organization. This is a 100% return.
Even more! When total pledges exceed $500 the organization’s return increases
up to 107%!
- Literacy Fairs: Practically any youth or children's organization
can hold a literacy fair ~ a fun event at which the general public is invited
to purchase Usborne Books for their own use or donation. The sponsoring
organization earns up to 30% free books based on total sales. Perfect for
preschools, public schools, children's clubs etc.
- Adopt-a-Book: this simply unique program provides a
cost-effective way for corporate sponsors or individuals to ensure the most
books are delivered to the hands of children, or lending libraries. This
independent consultant contributes proceeds from the Adopt-a-Book program to
ensure that for every $1.00 your organization contributes, the recipients will
receive $1.50.

"To
laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the
affection of children;
to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false
friends;
to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others;
to leave the world a little better; whether by a healthy child, a garden
patch or a redeemed social condition;
to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived.
This is the meaning of success."
